STAMFORD — Police are investigating the death of a 22-year-old woman whose body was found this week in a Washington Boulevard apartment.
Stamford Police Capt. Richard Conklin said the woman’s boyfriend discovered her body when he woke up about 10:30 a.m. Thursday.
Conklin said the medical examiner is conducting an autopsy, but it was too soon to tell if foul play was involved. He said the woman had a substance abuse problem and there were narcotics, including heroin, found in the apartment in the 1400 block of Washington Boulevard.
“Right now, there is nothing obvious that suggests foul play, but we’re waiting on the results of the autopsy and at the moment we’re just going through our paces,” Conklin said.
The woman’s identity was not released, pending notification of next of kin.
